The Sister

 Circle

What is The Sister
Circle?

"We will use art, community, dialogue, and care to create space for each other in the academic institution that often times feels confining.

We will recognize each other as artists, makers, and sisters, and celebrate that by meeting each other with our fullest selves in the spirit of mindfulness, earnesty, and mutual support."

This is our mission statement before impacted by CO-VID 19 and dispersed from campus.

Although we are no longer physically confined to operate in these institutional spaces, we have a new mission of sustaining community for each other under circumstances of isolation.

Here this is still a place of refuge for Black/Brown/Asian/AfroLatinX, Womxn/Femme/Non-Binary/Trans identifying artists and makers to discuss, vent, dialogue, critique, and share work in a community of artists who also identify as such.
